36-year-old Alba announced his retirement after the end of this American League season. The Daily Sports Daily published an article introducing the players' little-known private life.

Alba's wife is Romare Ventura, a social media content creator with more than 610,000 followers. Alba met her during a trip to Seville when she was 25. In past interviews, Alba said of the meeting of the two: "We met her in a restaurant run by a friend. I knew nothing about her at the time, and she only knew what I did. It took me a lot of effort to win her heart." Shortly after the two got married, they welcomed their first child Piero. Three years later, their youngest daughter Bruna was born, and later their youngest son Paul.

Alba also actively participates in the business world while playing football. He once founded his own football training camp for teenagers aged 9-16, but the project is currently suspended from operation. He has recently been involved in a new project led by Anthony Garcia: the Los Pitalet Club. The project also includes Thiago, Gonzalo Alvarez and Globo CEO Oscar Pierre, with the goal of bringing the team to the professional football level.
