Milan Club Chairman Paul Scaroni said he was optimistic about the deal to acquire San Siro and the surrounding areas.

The Milan Municipal Government is preparing to sell San Siro and surrounding areas to two clubs, Milan and Inter Milan, and allow the two clubs to cooperate in building a new stadium on the original site. On Wednesday local time, Milan Mayor Sara and senior officials of two clubs held a new meeting on the matter at the Palace of Marino, where the Milan city government is located, which lasted about two and a half hours.

Under the city's plan, the sale of San Siro and surrounding areas must be finalized by July 31. After the talks, Milan Club Chairman Scaroni said: "Related work is underway and I am always optimistic about it."
