Ralph Sampson was the No. 1 pick in 1983. He was 2.24 meters tall. He formed a twin tower with Olajuwon in the Rockets early in his career. He was selected to the All-Stars in all the first four seasons of his career, but due to injuries, he only played in the NBA for nine seasons, averaging 15.4 points, 8.8 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.6 blocks in 456 regular season games.
