Empoli official news has appointed Alessio Dionisi as the head coach of the first team. The two parties have signed a contract until June 30, 2027. Dionisi will lead the team for training for the first time this afternoon.

In addition to Dionisi, the coaching staff of the first team also includes Luca Viggiani (assistant coach), Paolo Cozzi (technical coach) and Fabio Spiegi (physical coach).

Dionisi was born in 1980 and started his coaching career in 2014. He has previously led teams such as Venice, Sassuolo and Palermo, and also led Empoli in 2020.
