According to reporter Ben Jacobs, Liverpool has made an oral offer of more than 70 million pounds, hoping to sign Ekitic.

Ben Jacobs wrote on social media: "It is understood that Liverpool has reached an agreement with Ekitic on personal terms. The Reds have made an oral offer of over £70 million and are currently negotiating with Frankfurt."

"Liverpool has a good relationship with Frankfurt, and the transaction price may be between £75 and £80 million. The way of trading is being discussed between clubs, which may take some time."
