Lautaro: The media should give Pio more space, he is important to us and Italian football
After Inter Milan defeated Cagliari 2-0, the goal-scoring hero Lautaro was interviewed by Yitian.
He said: "It is always difficult to play in Cagliari, the stadium is small, and their fans are also very imposing. But we made a lot of preparations before the game and studied the game. I think this is our victory. The second goal gave us peace of mind."
Become one of the fifth most goals in Inter Milan in Serie A in history. How important is it to maintain the pressure on the championship opponent?
"It's very important. We've been keeping the front line all these years, and every event has come to the end. As Bastoni said, people are always ready to attack Inter, but our team is healthy and united to fight for Inter. We have to keep going, recover well, and then be prepared for the Champions League and the league."
Regarding Pio Esposito, why is he ready?
"We knew him since the youth team, and he occasionally came to train with us. He had a very good training attitude, always giving his all, and was willing to listen. But we, or you (the media), should give him more quiet space. He is Italian and young, and we support him behind his back. He is very important to us and Italian football. He still has a lot of room for growth, but he has shown his value."
