Clutchpoints reporter Brett Siegel wrote an article reporting on the progress of the buyout negotiations between the Suns and Bills. He said that the formal buyout statement may be released at any time. It seems that his joining the Clippers after the buyout still seems to be a foregone conclusion.

"In an interview with ClutchPoints in the first two days of the summer league, multiple sources said that it is generally believed that Bill will sign with the Clippers after officially completing a buyout with the Suns.

So, what are the obstacles to all this?

Bill is just acting at his own pace. Sources say that several teams, including the Milwaukee Bucks, Golden State Warriors and the Los Angeles Lakers, have shown interest in Bill. The formal buyout statement may be released at any time because only the veteran needs to sign the documents. Even so, unless a major change occurs, it seems that Bill will be a foregone conclusion for the Clippers."
