Rondo: I had a dispute with Lao Li about Mask Man’s defense. I was so angry that I almost got into a fight.

Today, former Celtics star Rondo talked about an almost fight with Rivers when he was a player on Matt Barnes' podcast "All The Smoke."
"After a game against the Detroit Pistons, coach Rivers Sr. and I had some arguments. This was in 2009, probably my third year in the league. I was sitting across from Shaquille O'Neal, next to Nate Robinson. We were discussing how to guard Richard Hamilton because he had played so well in the previous game. Suddenly, Rivers started yelling at me and accusing me of not playing good defense. I was very angry because I think this is not my problem, Hamilton's outstanding performance is the key. I was so angry that I almost broke the TV and had a physical conflict with Rivers. Fortunately, someone pulled us away. I rushed out in short sleeves and walked for a long time in the harsh winter weather in Boston. Afterwards, a staff member called me and said that Lao Li was indeed wrong, but I also need to take responsibility. This incident made me feel very frustrated, but it also made me respect the coach's request for me more.
