Redick: I hope Brownie learns from Heat Mitchell & McConaughey to develop that kind of top endurance
Recently, Lakers coach JJ Redick was interviewed by ESPN and talked about the development direction of Brownie James.
"The most important thing for Brownie is that he has to practice top physical condition," Redick said. "This is his current threshold for entering the league. If he does, I think he has a chance to become a very good NBA player."
Redick uses Heat player David Mitchell and Pacers player TJ McConaughey as an example to illustrate that Brownie can become a key figure in changing the game. But one of their skills is the unremitting pursuit of both offense and defense, which requires huge endurance, and Brownie cannot maintain this physical output.
"In every round, they are in the game - both offense and defense - they can influence the game through fighting spirit," Redick said. "For example, the oppression point of defense, the ability to interfere with the basket... I think we have all seen these amazing shining points in Brownie. And for him, to reach the next level, the key is cardiopulmonary function."
"He has obtained medical permission... I understand that he has experienced a very terrible thing, and that history is still there, and I think it is difficult for him to break through certain limits, but he will do it. He will definitely do it."
