According to The Athletic, Roma is pushing for the introduction of Brighton striker Ferguson on loan.

Roma is starting to negotiate a deal to loan Brighton striker Evan Ferguson. Although the two sides have not reached an agreement yet, Roma is expected to introduce the 20-year-old Irish international. Ferguson was loaned to West Ham United in the second half of last season.

Previously, Brighton had estimated Ferguson at about £100 million, but he played limited last season, only started three times in the Premier League, and all after loaning West Ham United. Ferguson's only goal was scored in Brighton's 2-2 draw with Wolves in October. Because he was ranked behind the team's forward line, he was loaned out midway through the season.

Roma is currently looking for a new center, because Abraham joined Besiktas on loan. If certain conditions are met, it will be transferred to a permanent transfer next summer.
