Inter Milan and Milan issued a joint statement officially announcing the acquisition of the San Siro Stadium. Inter Milan President Marotta was interviewed for this.

The procedures for the acquisition of the stadium by Inter Milan and Milan have finally been completed.

Today is a historic day for the city of Milan, the two clubs in Milan, and the entire Italy. We have taken an important step by acquiring the San Siro, a national icon. Our goal is to build a new stadium that meets modern standards in terms of hospitality, service, security, etc., and becomes a new landmark in the area, while also improving the surrounding community. This project will take time, but will ultimately create exceptional value in the city of Milan, adding added value to the entire community.

When will your new stadium be completed? Milan club president Scaloni also talked about other administrative procedures

I don't want to make specific predictions, but the new stadium must be completed and ready to host the event before the 2032 European Cup. As President Scaloni said, there will be many difficulties to overcome, Italy has such a complicated administrative system, but we will not be discouraged. The club owners are very determined, this is something they have been working towards for many years and I believe we can get to the end.

How will you raise funds to build a new stadium? Will it be investment by club shareholders, or will the club need to raise its own funds, or is it a different arrangement?

The stadium asset is an important asset and will also bring economic benefits. Box office revenue will also increase with the premium services provided by the stadium during matches. Today the term "sustainability" is one of the goals we pursue, and enhancing the value of our game is one of the ways to achieve this. We still have some difficulties in increasing the value of resources. I'm talking about the sale of TV rights for games, which is a very important part of revenue. Especially in foreign markets, there is a gap in broadcast fees between Italian football and Germany, Spain, and England. And having beautiful stadiums and providing a high-quality football product allows us to close that gap.
