Italian Sports Minister Aboldi was interviewed when attending an event in Salerno and revealed the deadline for the qualification certification of the 2032 European Cup hosting stadium and the start of construction of the new stadium.

The 2032 European Cup will be jointly hosted by Italy and Türkiye, and the two countries have five stadiums to hold the game. Currently, 13 cities in Italy have applied to host the European Cup, and Italy will select 5 of them.

Minister Abodi first stated: "The final deadline for applying for the qualification of the European Cup is July 2026, which allows the Italian Football Association and UEFA to evaluate the feasibility of hosting the European Cup. There is also another deadline, that is, the construction of new or renovated stadiums must be started in April or May 2027. As people often say, the best stadiums will win."

Then Minister Abodi said: "Saleno is not excluded from competition at present, and those cities with new or renovation plans for infrastructure such as stadiums are eligible to apply, and we have no preferences and no exclusion for any city. This is a wonderful competition, even surpassing the UEFA 2032 itself. I am very happy to see the vitality of this competition, because I hope these 13 cities really want to build new ones. Or renovate their stadiums. "

Minister Abodi continued: "This European Cup has indeed played a certain role in promoting it, awakening some awareness, ability, and willingness. Now we need to come up with specific plans, especially to ensure that these plans can be supported by funds."

Finally, Minister Abodi said: "Saleno's stadium plan can be supported by funds, and after that the Italian Football Association evaluates this, we will do our own responsibilities. In the next few days, I will conduct overall consultations with the Prime Minister and the government, and appoint a stadium specialist to assist, promote and speed up the administrative approval process for all stadium projects related to the 2032 European Cup. Therefore, we are gradually eliminating all excuses, we have a clear schedule, a deadline, and simplifying administrative procedures."
