Before the Champions League final, Paris Saint-Germain coach Enrique said in an interview that he is not the kind of person who plans to win the championship in three or four years.

About the Champions League Stage Struggle

-If you want to analyze everything that happened in the Champions League this season, I think it would be a great thriller or horror movie because it contains all kinds of elements. In all the group stages, especially at home, we should have achieved better results, but that is not the case. Our ending is almost ridiculous – it’s rare to see such an inefficient top team. The standings show one thing, but our real feelings are completely different, and we feel that the team is doing a good job.

As the game gradually stabilized, our efficiency in front of the goal has also improved. I think the team's performance is very outstanding. We have been improving and growing. We should be proud of what we have achieved. However, we have to accomplish the task because our real goal is to make history. We have always been very consistent in style and preparation, including how to create more opportunities than our opponents to win games. Statistically, you'll find that most of the time we perform better than our opponents, create more opportunities, concede fewer goals, but lack efficiency at critical moments.

About the changes in your two years of coaching

- The changes and progress of the team are obvious. Our goal is to gradually create something different and special that will attract players and make them willing to come to Paris. We need to make the right signings, and we believe in the types of players we are looking for, such as William Pacho, Joao Neves and Douai, as well as youth training players, who have helped us.

Since I came here, everyone has given me full trust. I never felt the pressure to win a championship. We were close to reaching the final last year but were eliminated in the semifinals. We won the league, the French Cup and the French Super Cup, which is very good, but the Champions League has always been the club's top goal. I'm not the kind of person who plans to win the championship for three or four years, it's like waiting for the rain to stop in my hometown of Gijon, which will keep falling, so you need to be ready to win as soon as possible.

About leading Barcelona to the Champions League in 2015 - I remember the unforgettable final against Juventus in Berlin. It was our first year in Barcelona, and that victory locked in the chance to win the Triple Crown, which was very important for the club, the players and our staff. Ten years later, we have the same chance again. I believe I am more mature now. As a coach and as an individual, I feel very fulfilled.

I believe this team and these players are worthy of experiencing this final, and Paris fans and clubs are worthy of becoming the Champions League champion. They will experience it, I don't know if it will be achieved on May 31, but I'm sure Paris will win more than one Champions League title in this decade. Even if I'm not a head coach, I'd like to say that to show that it's not for personal gain. Hopefully we can be the first to make history, because that has been our motivation since we set foot on the land of Paris on the first day.

About Inter finals

- Once one side scores a goal, the side behind will be more risky than usual, which will change the strategy you originally prepared for the finals. This situation will keep changing. It was an open final, both sides could score goals, and the results could change, just as Inter Milan did in the semi-finals against Barcelona.

Inter Milan is more experienced than us - they reached the final two years ago. They are an experienced team with a coach who already knows how to play in such a game, they do well in possession and have a very solid defense. There is no doubt that they deserve to be the Champions League final team.
