In the 1/8 final of the Club World Cup, Inter Milan will face Fruminense. Inter Milan young player Thomas Berenbruch was interviewed before the game.

For you young players, what is the experience of participating in this Club World Cup?

It is definitely an honor to be here, just like I was able to enter Inter Milan's first team in the second half of this season. This is a huge opportunity for us academy players and we are excited to be here with Coach Zivo who we are familiar with and have coached us in the past.

You have made your debut in the Champions League. Do you want to play in the Club World Cup now?

We certainly hope that every game is an opportunity, so each of us wants the game to go well so we can get a chance to play. But, as in the past, the coach evaluates the situation in the game and makes decisions. Coach Zivo said that the motivation of your young players can help the team maintain a high level in training. Have you felt this responsibility of yours? I can say with certainty that we young players will do our best. We need to prove our value, so it is very important to do our best every time we train, and it is also our responsibility. That's what we do with the youth team, and more importantly, we have to do it now with these champions.

Do Lautaro often give you advice?

He, like many other players, has had a lot of communication with our young players these days. We realize that we are in a very united team, and we are tolerant of us and make us feel like we are part of the team. It’s a pleasure for us to be able to fight with such a team.

What changes have happened to Ziwo now compared to when he coached the Inter Milan youth team?

For me, nothing has changed during the first days. He is always very enthusiastic and able to convey his inner passion to the team. It struck me two years ago, and now it's back.

In the previous two Club World Cup matches, two Inter players born in 2005 (Valentin Caboni and F-Esposito) played a decisive role, which is a great motivation for you. This shows a lot, and each of us is trying to seize opportunities, both in training and in games. Pio and Valentine took the opportunity, which was inspiring for me and the rest of the players because we could also look forward to moments like this, and we trust ourselves.
